Nicolas Koff - Office OU Ltd., Joshua Kirk, Marco Colturi Annotation A scar cuts through the land, physical manifestation of the trauma and buried history of the Roma and Sinti. Beyond the cultural center, the scar leads visitors from Lipes Pond, through layers of history, to the walls of the camp, where it digs down to enter. Much like death was imminent for many detained in the camp during the holocaust, being directed towards the burial is the only way forward for those visiting the camp. Fragments of memory in the forest lead visitors to the burial ground. |
